Meta is a smart music tag editor that streamlines the editing of audio metadata. It allows you to write metadata (ie. Tags) to any number of audio tracks, and to organize files consistently. Built for DJs, musicians, podcasters, and all music fans…
Meta is built around a simple idea: edit many files as easily as one.
Select a group of files, and the sidebar becomes a shared workspace. Any change you make there, to tags, artwork, and metadata in general, is applied instantly across the entire selection.

Artwork Editing — Rules & Automation
Album artwork can be set or replaced by dragging images in. You can fine-tune existing artwork at any time (scale, crop, compress) and configure Meta to automatically optimize new images, keeping your file sizes minimal.

Compose Tags, File Names, Directories
Derive tags from existing data, filenames, or paths, or generate new values by defining simple patterns. Tools include: Rename Files, Create Directories, Derive Tags, Compose Tag, and Import Tags from CSV.
Rename Files
Rename files according to a suggested file-name pattern, composed of text and some of the file's own metadata.
Create Directories
Organise files into sub-directories, thanks to a custom pattern. Slash / characters act as folder delimiters.
Derive Tags
Extract Tag information from file names, file paths, or other metadata, by matching it against a pattern.
Number Tracks
Stop manually assigning track numbers: Arrange your album or compilation once, and let Meta handle the rest.
Find & Replace
Find and replace text, words, or regular expressions in the Tags.
Perform replacements either iteratively, or in a single-go using Replace All.
Find & Replace also supports Patterns.

Customize Meta's Layout, to fit your needs
Meta lets you create multiple sidebar layouts, each tailored to a specific task or context, like Publishing, Classical, Podcasts, etc…
Decide which tags matter, and leave the rest out. Then move seamlessly between layouts without breaking your flow.
Adjust Tagging Preferences
Metadata preferences allow you to choose which type of metadata formats will be written to your files. Different versions of the ID3v2 format are available.
For Cyrillic input, select ID3v2.4 encoded with UTF-8 or UTF-16.
Edit a broad range of media-types
Meta supports all popular audio formats such as mp3, mp4, m4a, m4b, m4v, aiff, wav, flac, ogg, oga, opus, spx, dsf, dsdiff, and writes metadata formats ID3v1, ID3v2 (v2.3, v2.4), MP4, Vorbis, INFO and APE Tags.
